Pessismism

I'm usually very optimistic. (And I still am today, more than usual even.)

But my friend is beating himself up constantly. He's 20 and has been single his whole life... like me, except nine months older. He thinks that it's too late now, that he's stuck to be alone his whole life. And me having a girlfriend has made this worse for him. I mean, I'm not annoyed that he feels jealousy or whatever, I would feel this way if the shoe were on the other foot and he had a girl and I was alone.

I know he'll find someone but he doesn't seem so sure. He's saying that the longer he's single the less girls will want him... which isn't true at all. I have no idea where he gets these ideas in that head of his. He also believes that if he's a virgin that makes him less of a man... well I know where he got that idea, it's prevalent in male society and on TV. TV and music try to make us all believe that virgins are losers past the age of seventeen or eighteen. and he's fallen for it.

Well Angie and I have had 3 real dates now, and a fourth coming up on Friday!

:-)

I'm very happy. I'm not alone.

I'm me.

Yayyy... :)
Well, your friend isn't the only one.. I know more people than one might think who are our age and haev never had a partner. I could name a few too. So it's very possible to get a partner at our age.
